It was one of my resolutions.

Wearing a kimono and taking pictures in Sensō-ji Temple, Asakusa

There was something dreamy about it, and this time Ryoko made my dream come true.

​

I've been keeping an eye on this Sakura Kimono rental shop in Tokyo for a while now, and I went out wearing a kimono, hair, and even a cherry blossom decoration on my head. Ryoko must have seen my expression.

"Yeah.. your dream just came true."

I'm so grateful to Ryoko for choosing a perfect kimono, a beautiful obi, and a hair ornament that suits me.

Ryoko lives in JR Tamachi Station, so she left from Mita Station to easily get to Asakusa Station where the Sakura shop is located.

We were riding for a while, and suddenly Ryoko's expression changed.

She got up and checked the route map.

Oh, we took the wrong way...

ㅋㅋㅋRyoko was flustered.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Yes, it happens.

So we called Sakura and said...

"Sumimasen.. I think we're going to be late."

We called twice.

​

Ryoko uses "Sumimasen" and "Daijoubudesuka" a lot~

I realized this time that Japanese people really use "Sumimasen" a lot.

Even when I came out of the bathroom, I said "Sumimasen" to the people who were waiting in line behind me.

We exited Asakusa Station through Exit A1.

We arrived at Asakusa Station (Asakusa). We exited through A1, crossed to the brown building on the far left, and then turned left.

And the weather is so nice today.

Is it fate that I'm wearing a kimono today?

Did we walk for a couple of blocks?

Sakura is on the right, just go down this alley, and it's in the building on the left.

Oh yeah.. I took a picture of this 4th-floor sign that I only saw in cafe reviews.

It was smaller than I expected, but wow, the kimono is really pretty.

Maybe it's because I have this fantasy.

I went to choose a kimono, and wow, Ryoko only picked two,

but she picked the perfect ones.

The obi is so beautiful too.

Ryoko, with her great color sense, chose a beautiful pink one.

The kimono Ryoko chose for herself was also beautiful.

She said you can't wear a kimono alone.

In my opinion, Koreans who live in Japan have a certain characteristic.

Their hair, clothing style, and makeup style all look Japanese.

Their Korean is a little awkward.

But they're good at it.

I was surprised because the person who sat next to me on the plane and lived in Japan for 26 years was similar to this person.

It's 500 yen for an extra hair accessory, so of course I got it.

But we were both so hungry.

Well, we did go out drinking a bit yesterday, didn't we?

At Shimbashi Station.

We were craving ramen or soba, but since we drank yesterday, let's get ramen!

The ramen shop had a machine to order.

We pressed the button for spicy ramen twice. Ah, this place was delicious.

It's in the basement on the left side of the road to Sensō-ji Temple!

We left a little bit of the noodles because we're going to take pictures soon (we were worried about our bellies).

It didn't look spicy at all, but it got spicier at the end.

We started again, walking briskly.

Wow!!! I only saw it in pictures!!

I heard that February 11th was a national holiday, so there were Japanese flags lined up. What a lucky day!

They said you can make a wish from up there, so we stood in line to go up.

We threw a coin and made a wish.

Yay!! We drew a lucky fortune!!

Ryoko said she doesn't draw fortunes anymore because she always gets bad luck.

We went out to the left and blew on the smoke until it touched our faces, and made another wish.

But I'm the only one who feels this way, right? When I blow out candles on a cake or do this kind of thing, I don't really think about anything.

Ryoko is really good at taking pictures.

She took a million pictures of me without ever showing any signs of disliking it.

So we took another picture.

But... well, I'm tired now.

They say wearing a kimono is hard.

​

I wanted to buy some souvenirs and stuff,

but I couldn't walk anymore.

I read some reviews about kimonos, and they said that if you bring a bandage and put it between your big toes, it won't be tiring, so I brought one,

but I forgot about it, of course.

​

But walking wasn't uncomfortable or tiring at all.

My shoes must have fit perfectly.

​

After walking around for a while, I felt drained.
