Originally, I carefully searched for each hotel and decided, but this hotel was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

My sister and I searched a lot on Naver blog.

I wonder if we only saw sponsored reviews on Expedia or other sites... It was a real disappointment.

This Hong Kong hotel decision was the most difficult one so far.

​

It's over 200,000 won per night, but with my mom, we had to consider the location, transportation, harbor view, breakfast view, pool, etc. We ran out of time while thinking about it! lol

That's why the place I chose just a week ago turned out to be like this... sigh

1. I understand that the room is small, but the pool is absolutely not usable in winter due to the cold water.

2. There is no separate heater in the room, only an air conditioner. It was cold, so I called and requested guest service and someone brought a heater, but it wasn't very effective.

3. The bathroom floor becomes a puddle after showering.

4. There is a shuttle, but the timing is not good and it is so crowded that we often couldn't get on the shuttle and had to wait for the next one, so we ended up taking a taxi. It's cheap and close to the Metropolis Hotel, as the basic taxi fare from the shuttle bus stop is HKD22.

5. The location is good. It's close to Hung Hom Station, there's a mall right below it, and the best part is that it's close to Tsim Sha Tsui.

6. Someone wrote in a review that there is a welcome food, but there isn't.

7. I only saw one Korean among the guests, and most of them were Chinese and Indian.

8. It was good that we could use the shuttle for free even after checking out and leaving our luggage when we went to Tsim Sha Tsui for a short time.

9. Someone said in a review that they provided a free power adapter, but that's not true. They rent it for HKD30.

10. The whole room is very, very dark. Even when applying makeup in the bathroom, which is the brightest place, when you go outside... you'll know what I mean, ladies.

11. It's good that they provide one bottle of water per person, but why put it in the bathroom?

1. How to get to Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel from Hong Kong Airport

I took the A21 from Hong Kong Airport.

​

The A21 terminates at MTR Hung Hom Station, so get off at this terminal.

It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the airport by bus.

​

Someone's bag was stolen from our bus by an Israeli.

I was so surprised that I checked if our bags were safe too... thankfully they were safe.

​

2. How to get to Metropolis from Hung Hom Station

Get off at the terminal, cross the traffic light on the left side.

Then,

You'll see this train station and go up the escalator next to it.

There's a Metropolis sign here too.

Go up and

Go straight into that building.

Go straight right, and the hotel is right there.

It looks clean and spacious.

The elevator is transparent, so you can see outside, and my mom took another 10 photos.

The hallway is okay too.

It's okay that Hong Kong hotels are small, but this one is pretty small.

But why is the water in the bathroom? ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ

Amenities included toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, body cleanser, cotton swabs, hair cap, and comb.

This is the brightest part of the room, but it's a bit... for applying makeup.

There's an induction cooker, a sink, and a refrigerator. We put our cosmetics here, lol.

We are three people, so there's a brown temporary bed like this next to it.

The bed cushions are okay too. They gave us four pillows for three people, but I used one more, lol.

You can see the pool through the window, but the view is not that good.

Where is that beautiful view I saw? Who took that view that made me book this hotel?

And that lady swimming is amazing, but the water was absolutely not usable in winter because it was cold.

I was so angry, I asked the staff, and they said it was 18 degrees.

Isn't this a facility included in the price of this resort? Why not turn on the warm water?

I thought the view would be nice at night, but it's a bummer ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ.

The closet is okay.

But you can't detach those hangers.

Last bus: 11 pm

Bus schedule: Every hour, 20, and 40 minutes.

Boarding place: Right in front of Peninsula Office Tower after exiting Exit L3 of Tsim Sha Tsui Station.

First bus: 7:10 am

Last bus: 11:10 pm

We were worried that there might not be a shuttle, so we took a photo, but thankfully they gave us one when we checked in, so I put it behind my phone.

Exit through Exit L3 of MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station.

You'll see Ralph Lauren and Chanel on your right, and in that alley.

Board the shuttle in front of the Kowloon Hotel and Peninsula Office Tower.

Shuttles for other hotels also come, so make sure to check if it says Metropolis.

It takes less than 5 minutes to get there.
