There are tons of hotels, resorts, and guesthouses in Boracay.
Boracay Station 1, Station 2, Station 3 Location
Boracay is mainly divided into Station 1, 2, and 3, and I searched a lot on Naver to decide which station to go to.
Which station is close to White Beach? Which is secluded? Which is less crowded with Koreans and feels truly foreign? I read tons of reviews like these.
Honestly, they all looked the same to me... haha.
There's a beautiful beach in front, and it's just Boracay.
Then, a brilliant idea struck me.
The answer was in our names.
We were destined for Boracay Station 2.
Once we decided on Station 2, filtering became much easier.
We looked for hotels near Station 2 with high Expedia ratings.
Seong2 searched for each option we had selected.
But
Holy... S
I found it! A pool that looked like the jacuzzi I used to have as my phone wallpaper!!!!!
The Boracay Uptown pool I saw in blogs and found on Google. It's not actually this wide or big. They definitely used professional equipment to take this picture. The photo I took below shows the real size.
Boracay Uptown Resort!!!!!!!!!!
These are just nice-to-have options that come with that pool.
We arrived at Uptown late at night, but we received a bright and cheerful welcome and were given a necklace as a gift.
It's so pretty.
There's a full-length mirror in the lobby???
It's like they're telling you to take pictures right after receiving the gift.
While the Korean pick-up/drop-off service staff handled our check-in, I took about 20 pictures and went up to our room.
The room is modern and nice.
Maybe because I was too focused on the pool and had high expectations, but everything else felt great even if it was just a little nice.
Objectively speaking, the brightly colored sheets and blankets are also good.
This is really delicious.
We arrived early in the morning, and the pick-up/drop-off service staff bought us this. I just thought it was McDonald's chicken.
But
It's definitely the best menu item at McDonald's in Boracay D'Mall.
Wow, it's chicken served with rice and sauce.
It's incredibly delicious.
Seonghi even stole some of my rice, and we fell asleep.
The long-awaited first day in Boracay!!
Uptown Boracay Cafeteria
Uptown includes breakfast, so I didn't want to miss it and came down for food.
It wasn't crowded, they had kimchi, a cheerful cook played upbeat music and made omelets, and they brought us juice.
Uptown Boracay Breakfast
The food was good! I especially loved the rice.
Yay, it's delicious!
A photo of us enjoying Boracay can't be missed.
The view from the cafeteria and hallway.
This is the view from the dining room.
Palm trees are the best.
It rained, stopped, was cloudy, and then sunny on the day we went, but it was still great.
After eating, I did my hair and makeup.
Finally, to the pool! Woohoo!!
Woo~~~hoo~~~hoooooooooo~~~
I was so happy.
I was truly happy.
It's so beautiful, the palm trees, the passing boats—everything is just cinematic.
I was happy.
This is the actual size.
Like a neighborhood bathhouse's cold bath, just a little bigger?
But it's still nice. It doesn't look cramped.
(I'm biased, haha)
I took pictures while waiting for cocktails too.
No, it's just so nice. I love the pool so much.
I borrowed the pink flamingo tube holder for the cocktail glasses from the Chinese ladies next to us.
Later, they borrowed our cocktails.
HAHAHAHA
Right? We all help each other out.
Pictures I took at the pool over two days.
I even put on clothes and took pictures for my KakaoTalk profile.
I'll share the henna I got on my leg in Part 3!
Looking at these photos makes me really want to go back.
You can bring outside food and even smoke at the pool.
A Korean grandmother was smoking over there.
She asked if we were a couple.
The grandmother just kept smoking without a break until she left.
There are all kinds of people in the world.
I played with the tube the Chinese ladies lent me, took pictures, and laid down.
The sunlight was just right.
Okay, shall we go out now?
The sea you see right when you leave Uptown.
It's so nice.
Just beaming with happiness.
We lay on the Uptown Resort's private sunbeds, listened to the sound of the sea, took pictures, and drank mango juice.
(While Seong2 was out buying drinks, I took a ton of selfies!)
Now it's time for our hopping tour!!
The way to Starbucks is lined with palm trees, it's so wonderful.
What will we do on the hopping tour??
