I'm going on a trip to Boracay.
It was a sudden decision, but I'm going to the Shangri-La Hotel!
I'm so excited.
While searching for Boracay travel information, I saw pictures of the swimming pool and restaurant at the Shangri-La Hotel.
This is it.
This is heaven, a staycation, freedom.
I won't go to Boracay if it's not here.
Lying by the pool with a beer or two, watching the palm trees...
It's going to be so nice.
Just thinking about it makes me excited.
Preparation is for 2 people.
It's the golden season, so it's super expensive.
- Round-trip flight tickets to Boracay (Air Seoul, 2 people, 1,118,200 won)
549,100 won per person.
It's Air Seoul, but
Whoa.
It takes 4 hours and 30 minutes from Incheon to Kalibo.
It takes 4 hours and 10 minutes on the return flight.
But actually, you have to go from Caticlan port to Boracay, so it takes a total of 6 hours and 30 minutes to 7 hours.
- Incheon - Kalibo Airport: 4 hours 30 minutes
- Kalibo Airport - Caticlan Pier: 2 hours
- Caticlan Port - Boracay: 15 minutes
= Approximately 7 hours in total
I think it's expensive because it's the golden season.
I'm leaving on Wednesday morning and arriving in Incheon on Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

Shangri-La has Deluxe - Deluxe Seaview - Premier Seaview,
We chose Premier Seaview.
According to my research, the difference between Deluxe and Premier is whether you can see the beach or not. Deluxe has a distant view of the beach, while Premier has a direct view of the beach.
Since we've already decided, I hope the beautiful Shangri-La's private beach 'Banyugan Beach' will be right in front of my eyes.

I want to have dinner at Sirena Restaurant while watching the sunset from an outdoor seat, but they said reservations are not available except for indoor seats.
They said it's first come, first served.
I made a reservation for 6 p.m. on the day I arrive, but I'm nervous.
Pick-up and Drop-off
Taxi reservation from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Port, taking the Shangri-La speedboat from the port to Boracay.
When you arrive at Kalibo Airport, you're not in Boracay yet.
You have to take a taxi or bus to Caticlan Port from here.
From there, you have to take a boat to Boracay Island.
Shangri-La provides this boat for free.

If you're staying at Shangri-La like me,
You have to book a pick-up and drop-off from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Pier through a Korean company.
Kalibo Airport → Caticlan Port
1. Book a taxi in advance from Korea
2. Haggle when you arrive
Caticlan Pier → Enter Boracay
1. If you're staying at Shangri-La Boracay Resort, you can relax in the dedicated lounge and go out when it's time to take the speedboat.
2. If you're staying at a hotel that doesn't have a dedicated boat, you need to buy tickets.
Make sure to check your hotel voucher, so make sure to print out your hotel reservation confirmation email or letter!
The return flight is at 13:50, but they said we should leave Boracay at 9 a.m.
It takes 2 hours to get to the airport and they say we need to be there 2 hours early, so..
Okay, man!
